CORINNE-VALERIE MARIN

CORINNE-VALERIE MARIN, a UCLA graduate and California native, relocated from California to Chslfont, PA, five years ago be near her daughter and young grandchildren.  An oil painter, watercolorist, former serigrapher, and published poet, she has had a solo exhibit on the top floor of The Kirkeby Center, Westwood, CA, and was awarded an honorarium from the City of Santa Monica.

Then, she shelved her artist vocation until she had raised her only child, taught elementary school and earned a retirement pension.  She now has her own studio detached from her pastoral Peace Valley home.  She has had solo exhibits at the Mainstreet, Doylestown,  Starbucks;  The Corner Bakery, and several  group shows, including The Doylestown Market Place indoor courtyard.

Her current paintings focus on the joy of Nature, in an impressionistic style, often impasto, thickly textured oil paintings.

Her poetry can be found in FM Quarterly poetry journals; hot-off-the-press, The Soul's Bright Home, an anthology edited by Melanie Eyth, and, imminently, When Awoken, Sing, her own collection, also edited by Melanie Eyth...available at Gathering, Doylestown Book Store, and Amazon.com.

Corinne-Valerie is taking a break from Gathering.
