Suzanne Shockley is a mixed media and collage artist based in Ambler, Pennsylvania. A lifelong creative and self-described possibilitarian, Suzanne explores the beauty of the unexpected through layered compositions using vintage ephemera, watercolor, acrylics, pen, ink, and even napkins. Her intuitive process embraces spontaneity—cutting, tearing, and arranging without expectation to discover what emerges.

Suzanne is a retired special educator with the Central Bucks School District, and has always enjoyed nurturing her artistic side through painting, crafting, and fabric art, which she exhibited at local craft shows and flea markets. Like many, life became busy, and creativity was set aside—until the quiet of the pandemic reignited her artistic spirit.

Inspired by artists such as Kelly Rae Roberts, Shawn Petite, and Heather Murray, and encouraged by the creative teachings of Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way and It’s Never Too Late to Begin Again, Suzanne immersed herself in the world of mixed media through YouTube tutorials, private lessons, and art retreats. She describes her artistic journey as one of rediscovery and joy, where freedom and curiosity guide each piece.
