As a child I always liked drawing and coloring, along with making collages and dioramas, sewing and crocheting, and crafts - all artsy kinds of things I continued doing as an adult.  I had two years of art classes in High School and even though I’ve always been drawn to watercolor paintings, I only occasionally got out my watercolors.  After an early retirement, I decided to fulfill my desire to paint in this medium and began lessons with Miriam Warfield.  I found that  painting completely absorbs and relaxes me, but also challenges me when I’m trying new techniques to get the look and feel I want.

I am a member of the Doylestown Art League and have won awards in their art shows.  In September, 2018, I was honored to receive the Phillips Mill Art Committee Award in Memory of Ty Hodanish.  It gives me great pleasure to see people enjoying the fruit of my labor.
